Gluten Free Soaked Grain Hot Cereal

This hot cereal can really be changed around with what you have. For instance if you don’t have millet, just do amaranth and quinoa or if you only have amaranth just do that. The consistency is also up to you, if you like it firmer add less water or thinner add more. I top it with whatever I have around that morning, in this case it was green apples and soaked  dehydrated walnuts. Give it a try!

  • 1/2 cup amaranth, quinoa and millet
  • Water
  • Pinch Sea Salt
  • 1 to 2 Tbsp Organic Butter
  • So Delicious Coconut milk
  • Cinnamon
  • Palm or Lakanto Syrup or Stevia drops ( I use sunnydew or sweetleaf)
  • Toppings- Chopped fruit, Soaked dehydrated nuts, shredded coconut….
  1. Place all grains in a bowl with a non chlorinated water and soak over night. Allow enough water for the grains to soak up and expand.
  2. Drain water and place grains in a medium saucepan.
  3. Add water to cover around 1/4 in above grains.
  4. Bring to a boil then turn down and let simmer on low (very low) until all the water is soaked up and grains are fluffy.
  5. Add butter, milk , cinnamon and your choice of sweetener.
  6. Add chopped toppings.
  7. Enjoy with a nice warm cup of Dandy Blend! (iherb.com $5 dollars off first order with Code YAG326)
*If you use the grains in their whole form it will be very grainy. You can always put your soaked grains in a blender with some water to make it finer. I have never done this…..
